Experience. Innovation. Value.
For over 120 years, the Horst name has been synonymous with high standards. Joseph Horst established this reputation in the late 1800s when he took on his first construction project for Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Lancaster County, PA.
In 1961, Abram Horst Jr. and Clyde Horst, great-grandsons to Joseph, founded Horst Excavating. What started as an economical way to provide equipment and services for construction projects quickly became a solid business venture. Today, Horst Excavating is a business unit of the Horst Group.
Our years of experience, combined with a top-notch safety record and the latest technologies and field equipment, have built strong foundations for municipal infrastructure, commercial buildings, educational facilities and wind farms throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania and beyond. No matter the project size, you can always count on Horst Excavating to deliver experience, innovation and value.
