Lori T. Aulenbach is currently Director of Research for Varsity and specializes in Senior/55+, Health Care Provider and Health Care System Research, Consumer Panels and Mock Trials/Jury Selection Research. Ms. Aulenbach’s skills in moderating have been recognized by the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyer’s Association, the American Trial Lawyer’s Association, the Central Pennsylvania Business Journal and numerous consumer research organizations. She graduated magna cum laude from the Pennsylvania State University in Economics.
Today’s Real Estate Market- How It Affects Occupancy Rates and What You Can Do About It
Cathy Martin is President of Hamlyn Senior Marketing, LLC, a marketing consulting firm that has served the majority of the senior communities in the past 28 years. Hamlyn has introduced several of the currently used marketing strategies in the senior industries and continues to pioneer new methods for marketing to the rapidly growing older adult markets. During the early years of the company, Hamlyn’s practice was largely concentrated in the faith-based organizations, and retains a special empathy and sensitivity to their missions and culture. Today, two-thirds of Hamlyn’s client are nonprofits and one-third are proprietary companies. Ms. Martin acquired Hamlyn Senior Marketing 3 years ago after 5 years of successfully managing its Sales and Leasing divisions.
Dyann Paoline is currently a consultant specializing in senior downsizing and relocation. She devotes much of her time and energy to assisting seniors who are transitioning to a new lifestyle. Ms. Paoline’s career spans 25+ years in the real estate and relocation industries with companies including Scott Paper and Prudential Fox Roach where she served in executive HR, business development and leadership capacities. Ms. Paoline became Vice President of Business Development & Relocation for Prudential in 2004, where she developed a national reputation in the relocation industry and, with her team, managed over 4,000 relocation transactions annually.
Preparing Your Facility to Move to Electric Competition
John M. Levitski is the principal company contact between PPL Corporation and federal, state, county, and local governments and the news media in the Lancaster operating area. He provides leadership in addressing important regional issues such as job retention, economic growth, educational improvements and environmental protection. Currently, Mr. Levitski serves as Vice Chairperson of the Lancaster Alliance Board. He also serves on the Lancaster Workforce Investment Board, the F College Economic Advisory Board and the Lancaster Economic Development Company. Mr. Levitski is the Chairperson of the Lancaster EDC Membership Campaign, Chairperson of the Lancaster Prospers Marketing Plan and Co-Chair of the 2008 Heart Walk. He earned a Bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from King’s College and a Master’s degree from Marywood University.
Energy Efficiency and On-site Generation Strategies for Senior Care
David J. Smith oversees all business activities of Princeton Energy Systems and also is responsible for new technology assessment, renewable energy projects, strategic planning, and customer and alliance partner relations. Recently, Mr. Smith has been heading up the Company’s strategic initiative in integrated energy services for campuses and municipalities. He has over 23 years experience in the energy industry dating back to his position as Director of Planning and Development for Princeton Energy Partners, the predecessor firm of PES. Mr. Smith holds a BA in Economics from Harvard University and an MS in Energy Management and Policy from the University of Pennsylvania.
Publicly Funded Long-Term Care in the Commonwealth: An Update
Cynthia Mara is Coordinator, MHA Program, Associate Professor of Health Care Administration and Policy. Dr. Mara's research interests include health and long-term care administration and policy; the health care system; aging and disability; and organizational theory. She serves as Coordinator, Graduate Certificate Program in Long-Term Care Administration and Policy and is Adjunct Professor of Management and Health Systems at the Penn State College of Medicine. Her current research focuses on Medicaid-funded long-term care. The health and long-term care needs of aging Pennsylvanians have also been topics of her research. She earned a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Public Affairs, Virginia Tech.
