Horst Helps Power Up Waste Disposal
Horst Excavating was thrilled when Volvo Construction Equipment asked if they could highlight our company in an article about how we are using the Volvo equipment to maximize our efforts at the York County Solid Waste and Refuse Authority project in York, PA.
The project scope includes earthwork and site preparation in four phases which will take three years to complete. Scope of work includes overall sitework, site demolition, erosion and sedimentation, underground utility work, and stone/asphalt paving. In total, Horst will move more than 300,000 cubic yards of material. The facility is open 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, and requires a plan that minimizes vibration to the site while excavating 30,000 cubic yards of rock from the pit which is five stories deep!
